Ngoi Xan Hydropower Plant Cluster
Since the end of 2005, Nam Tien Group has expanded the investment into Energy. Particularly, Nam Tien has developed and self-operated Ngoi Xan Hydropower Plant Cluster in Phin Ngan Commune, Bat Xat District, Lao Cai Province.
In 2013, Nam Tien Group completed the construction of Ngoi Xan – Lao Cai Hydropower Plants including these plants: Van Ho, Ngoi Xan I, Ngoi Xan II, Sung Vui and Trung Ho with a total capacity of 49.5 MW, the total investment is over VND 1,550 billion. In which, Ngoi Xan I Hydropower Plant was commenced on December 9, 2005 and completed within 20 months of construction (4 months ahead of schedule), officially transmitted into the national grid on August 22, 2007. Ngoi Xan 2 Hydropower Plant was commenced in May 2007 and completed in August 2008, Van Ho Hydropower Plant was commenced on October 23, 2007 and completed in September 2010. Sung Vui Hydropower Plant was completed in January 2013, Trung Ho Hydropower Plant was completed and transmitted into the national grid in May 2013.
In order to serve the power transmission of 05 plants, Nam Tien also invested in a 110 KV station. Ngoi Xan Hydropower Plant Cluster has contributed to supply hundreds of millions of kWh to the national grid.
